Events

At this time my main current event is breast cancer. Having been diagnosed in late August, I have now undergone surgery, and am awaiting my first meeting with the oncologist for chemotherapy. The prognosis is good, and despite the trauma of this event in my present life, I look forward to a new beginning after chemo and radiation....

During this time, I don't know if I will be working or not. Presently, I can't use the press or apply pressure to my printing plates as I am used to doing, and will not be able to do so for at least another month or so. It is my right arm which is affected, and I am right handed...however, it could be interesting to see what mess the left hand could make of things....

I may do some painting, but my mind is presently engaged with wondering what the future will look like for the next few months. I am busying myself with canning, freezing, making sure my dental work is caught up and other prepratory tasks before I head into winter and chemotherapy.

So, this takes precedence over exhibitions and feature shows....a healthy body will be my greatest exhibition, and a cancer free future will be the highest award I can possibly win.
